Look of the Day - Smudgy

Helllllooooo beautifullls :) cannot believe how fast this past year has gone by, well better get my last blog up while am still 24 :| I went for something different in this look as I hardly ever wear light lipsticks but I opted for a nudish pale pink. Half way through the day though I realised I didn't like it on me and added a brighter lip lol!
Since I used my sisters concealer in my last blog I have been using it almost everyday, I love it!! It makes such a big difference in brightening up my eyes and covering my eye bags. So of course after my usual foundation routine I used the Lasting Finish concealer by Rimmel. I then primed my eyes with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer and applied this gorgeous glittery eye shadow by MUA all over my eye lid. I then lined my top lash line with a black eye pencil from Body Shop that has a smudger on the other end which I used to smudge out the black line slightly. I also used this same pencil to line my tight line and used my nude eye pencil on my waterline. Finally finishing off my eyes with a good few coats of mascara on my top lashes and not forgetting filling in the brows!
I then did a slight contour and highlight on my cheeks, nose and brow bone using the colours Virgin and Buck from my Naked palette, (I will do a separate blog for this). For my cheeks I used my baked bronzer by Body Shop which adds a lovely natural glow to the cheeks. As my lips keep drying out recently because I have been ill, my go to lip product has been my Baby Lips by Maybelline in Cherry which not only smells good enough to eat it but also has a slight pink tint to it. I then went over my lips with this pretty lip liner by Kiko in shade 712 which is a nudey dusky pink colour.
Hope you're all great and enjoying the sun :)

Look of the Day - Bronze

Helllloooo my loveliesss :) This is another quick make up look that I did the other day! As usual I did my foundation routine but I did'nt use my Revlon concealer as recently I found that my eye bags have gotten worse (too much late night Family Guy) Soo I needed something with a lot more coverage and lasting power!!! I decided to try out my sisters new Lasting Finish concealer in shade 030 by Rimmel, which after using I loved as it's quite thick with a good coverage but also lasts the full day. Will defo be purchasing this for myself!
After I set my base with powder I then used this gorgeous Bronze Colour Tattoo by EyeStudio all over my eye lid, as its a cream I didn't feel the need to apply my eye shadow primer. I then lined my top lash line with my MUA liquid liner in black and also lined half of my bottom lash line with a brown eye pencil. I finished off my eyes with a few coats of mascara on both my top and bottom lashes.
For my cheeks I used my Shimmer Waves bronzer by Body Shop and then completed the look with this luscious hot pink MUA lip laquer in shade Funk which added a pop of colour to my look!

Enjoy :)

Look of the Day - Shadow Liner

Hellloooooo my lovelies, as I was ill over the weekend (and still am) I wanted to do a simple look when I went out so I decided to do a winged liner with an eye shadow as my eyes kept watering and the last thing I wanted was black eyes from a black liquid liner, lol!

I love wearing eye liner on the weekend as I don't really get time during the week so this look was perfect as it was a subtle liner due to the colour I chose. As usual I started with my foundation and eyebrow routine and primed my eyes with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer. I then applied the colour Nude from my Naked palette which gave my eyes a nice neutral base and also used the colour Virgin to highlight my brow bone.
I then used the top dark brown colour from my MUA Heaven and Earth palette to line my top lid. I did this using my Shadow Line Liquid that came with my Mermaid eye shadow box featured in my previous blog. This liquid is amazing as it's clear, which you dip into any eye shadow and apply onto your eyelid like an eye liner as it makes the eye shadow into a paste. I absolutely love this product as it's so easy to use!! I then lined my bottom waterline with a nude eye pencil and coated my top lashes with a few coats of my current favourite mascara.
I kept my cheeks neutral with my baked bronzer from Body Shop and used this gorgeous pink lippy by YSL (shade 09), I love all their lipsticks as they are so smooth and long lasting and the colours are divine!
Enjoy this simple, easy to do look :)

Look of the Day - Mermaid

Hellllooooo loveliess, can't believe its already March... time is flying by!! So I was sorting through my eye shadow palettes and rediscovered this Front Cover eye shadow box and fell in love with all the colours! They are all such beautiful shades of green and blue, colours I don't often wear but I really enjoyed doing this look. Definitely going to be using this palette more!
As usual I started off with my foundation routine as well as priming my eyes with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer. I also filled in my brows using my Brow Satin by Maybelline and highlighted my brow bone with the shade Cloud Dance from the palette. I then used the shade Sunray all over my eye lid as I wanted a neutral colour for the base of my eye liner. I lined my top lashes with my MUA liquid liner winging it out ever so slightly. I then used a Collection eye pencil in shade Grey to line my waterline which I went over with the shade Drifter to make the colour brighter. I love this combo together as it created a gorgeous blue shade which matched my head scarf. I finished off my eyes with a few coats of mascara on both my top and bottom lashes.
Recently I have been using my baked bronzer by Body Shop on my cheeks and I love the colour as its a subtle bronze peachy shade which adds a lovely glow to the face. For my lips I kept it neutral as my eyes had a pop of colour so I opted for my FX lip liner in shade Auburn mixed with a nude lipstick from Body Shop (shade 06) which made a taupe brown colour!
Enjoy :)

My Eyebrow Routine

Hellooooo beautifuls :) Hope you are all keeping well!! This post is all about the brows, big bold brows in fact, although mine weren't always this big :| I once had the thinnest eyebrows ever, well am sure we've all been there lol! Now that my brows are big, I don't think I would ever go back to having them thin, gosh that was too much effort!!
My eyebrows are actually more or less fully grown so to maintain them is really easy as I have to just do the middle and some stray hairs underneath which I tweeze out myself. As my brows used to be really thin before there are a lot of sparse areas which I don't really think will ever grow back but that's fine because I can just fill them in... I always start off by combing out my eyebrows with a spooley (mascara wand) which usually tames all the hairs and I then know which parts I need to fill in. I used to use a dark brown eye shadow before to fill in my brows, but not anymore since I discovered this amazing product!!!
I have been looking for the perfect eyebrow kit and I must say this is it!! The Brow Satin in shade Dark Brown by Maybelline. I love the dual function on this product as one side is a very soft thin eye pencil and the other side is a nib with eye shadow on. I use the pencil side to define the edges of my brows and then fill them in using the eye shadow side. Once I have filled them in I then brush them out again using a spooley to make sure it is all blended and also to take off any extra product. If I need to then I will also tidy up the edges with a small clean brush or concealer. To finish off my brows I like to sometimes highlight my brow bone with a shimmery cream shadow to give them that extra definition.
Tip: Remember to not overdo your brows when you're filling them in unless you like that blocky look, lol! Keep them looking natural :)

Enjoy

Look of the Day - Metallic

Helloooo lovelies, as you can see I've made a big change since my last post.... I have decided to start wearing a head scarf. At first I thought I would feel really different but I don't, which is so strange but I actually can't even remember what it was like before wearing the head scarf. But with that said lets get to the make up look which is a lovely coppery/rose gold look.
For my eyes I used three colours from this metallic eye shadow box by Studio. I started with the shade Precious Gold all over my lid, I then used Copper Coin on my crease to add some dimension. I also applied the colour Khaki Green on the inner corner of my eyes as the three colours worked really well together. I added a few coats of my current favourite mascara from my last post and used my MUA liquid eye liner on just the ends on my eye lids to make my lashes look fuller. This is a good trick for when you don't have time to apply eye liner on your full eye lid. I then used a black eye pencil on my tight line and my nude eye pencil on my water line. As usual I filled in my brows using a dark brown eye shadow.
On my cheeks I used this gorgeous peachy shimmery blusher by Sleek which will be a great shade for summer! Finally completing my look with this lovely lip combo, the Body shop lip liner from my last look with a Revlon lip butter in shade Peach Parfait on top which added a subtle gloss.
Enjoy :)

Look of the Day - Pink Smokey

Heyyy my beauties, with Valentines day coming up I thought I would do an evening smokey look as most of my blog looks have been day time looks so this one is perfect for a night out!
After my usual foundation and eyebrow routine I primed my eyes with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer as this prevents any creases in the eye shadow and makes the colours last longer. For my eyes I used the Naked 3 palette which has gorgeous shades of pinks and purples in, perfect for the look I wanted.
I started off by using the colour Nooner on my crease to add some definition to my eyes, I then used the colour Trick on the middle of my eyelid and added the colour Liar at the end of my lid. I then applied Burnout on the inner corners of my eye to brighten them up. For my liner I used the colour Blackout with a small brush to line the top of my lash line winging it out slightly, I also used this colour in my outer crease and blended it out making sure there was no harsh lines. For my bottom water line I used the Collection eye pencil from my last look. I love this eye pencil as it is really pigmented and does not smudge or drop down. I finished off my eyes with lots of coats of this Rimmel (wonder'full) mascara which I love as it makes my eye lashes super long and look like am wearing falsies.
For my cheeks I wore this new Sleek blusher (shade pomegranate 923) which is such a gorgeous shimmery plum colour, it is really pigmented though so I always apply a bit at first as you can always build it up rather than applying too much initially. Finally for my lips I lined them with this Body Shop lip liner (shade 04 mauve berry) and then filled in my lips using the Rimmel Apocalips lip velvet (shade 307) which leaves a lovely matte finish and is very long lasting!! I hope you all enjoyed this make up look :)

Lot of Love

Look of the Day - Wing It

Hellooooo lovelies ;) Hope you're all keeping well! This look is all about the winged eye liner, eye liner is definately one of my favourite make up products as it always makes my eyes look bigger and finishes off any make up look. I used to wear liquid liner all the time before, it was my go to make up product even when I was running late but in the last couple of years I don't wear it as often as I would like to. That maybe changing now though because I loved creating this look!!
As usual I started off with my foundation routine and primed my eyes with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer. I then filled in my eye brows using an ashy brown eye shadow and slanted brush. In this look I am not actually wearing any eye shadow but instead this gorgeous Collection (shade hot chocolate) eye pencil on my eye lid, which was so smooth to use and the colour is a lovely brown/bronze shade.

I then used this new liquid liner I purchased from MUA for only a pound, I mean you can't possibly go wrong for a pound!!!! It is actually surprisingly pretty good and the applicator is nice and thin perfect for doing a thin or thick liner. For my winged liner I started at the end with the wing and worked my way in and created a cat eye look in the inner corner of my eyes. I always start off at the end of my eye as I like to make the line thinner as I work my way inwards as my eyelids are not very big, I then applied the same eye pencil on my bottom water line and finished off my eyes by applying a few coats of mascara.
For my cheeks I used my shimmer waves bronzer by Body Shop on the apples of my cheek and highlighted just above using this beautiful golden baked bronzer/highlighter (shade 02) also by Body Shop. For my lips I used my current favourite combo at the moment, I have been wearing this MUA lip lacquer almost everyday but with different lip liners which changes the colour and I love love love it! For this combo though I used the colour reckless (MUA lip lacquer) and a Maybelline lip liner (shade 338).
Enjoy!

My Top 10 Beauty Tips

Hey lovelies, I have put together some of my top beauty tips that I follow and think you might like to know :) So lets get straight into them...

1. Use a good face primer
One that suits your face type ofcourse as this makes the perfect base for your make up which helps keep it looking fresh for longer and also last the day.

2. Look after your hair
Using a good shampoo and conditioner is not enough. Especially if you're always using heat on your hair, I would recommend you use a heat protection spray. Recently I have also been applying Argan oil on my hair after every wash while it is wet and I have noticed a big difference as it makes my hair super soft and shiny without making it greasy!

3. Line your lips first
Even if it's a light lip colour I always like to line my lips first with a matching lip liner as the lipstick always looks neater and sharper around the edges, plus I think your lipstick lasts longer throughout the day as you have an undercoat.

4. Don't pop it!!
This is so important. Do not touch or pop any spots as they will only leave a scar once gone. This is something I tell myself every time I get a spot and I must say recently I have been very good and due to this my skin looks so much better and clearer.

5. Keep your lips moisturised
No one likes dry lips so make sure you keep them moisturised throughout the day and night especially in this cold weather. I like to carry around a lip balm with me to use throughout the day when my lips feel dry. I also ex-foliate my lips every night which makes such a different as it removes any old skin off your lips and leaves them smooth.

6. Don't go crazy with your eyebrows
Keep your brows looking natural by filling them in with a colour that matches or slightly lighter but not darker as this will make them look like two blocks! (Which is never a good look)

7. Blend, blend and blend...
Always blend out your make up, whether it's foundation, blusher or eye shadow make sure to blend it really well and avoid any streaks or harsh lines.

8. Go outside your comfort zone
Try new looks and experiment, I personally love doing different make up looks and trying new lip combos. After all you never know what looks good on you unless you try it, right?!

9. Use cold water
Wash your face with cold water. Even after a hot bath I always wash my face with cold water, this helps to close your pores which then prevents any bacteria getting into your skin which may lead to spots.

10. Never sleep with make up on!
Although last, this is probably the most important tip. Never ever go to sleep with make up on, no matter how sleepy you are. Always remove your make up properly and cleanse your face before bed. I like to ex-foliate my face every night as this removes any left over residue of make up and leaves my face clean and soft.

Enjoy :)

Quick Morning Routine

Helllooooo everyone, its been a while I know!! But hopefully am back for good, I just keep getting so busy with work and family.... but don't worry my love for make up has not died, lol and I hope to blog a lot more this year :)

So recently I keep waking up late maybe because its so cold and I don't want to leave my cosy bed so I have to opt for a quick simple make up look that still looks good. This look has been my go to routine for the last few weeks....
My foundation routine is pretty much still the same as I like to stick with what I know works for me. Trying new foundations on my skin never goes down too well! But one thing that I have added into my foundation routine is The Body Shop Insta Blur face primer which is absolutely amazing, for anyone that suffers from oily skin, this is a must have. I love this product as it gets rid of all the grease and gives my make up a lovely matte finish. I put it on after I have primed my face with my other Body Shop face primer as the Insta Blur is very matte I only like to use it on my T zone. I then put my foundation and concealer on as normal and set this all with my face powder.
Once my base was set I used this gorgeous shimmery colour (Sidecar) from my Naked palette which I applied with my finger all over my eye lid and also on the inner corner of my eye to make my eyes look brighter. I tend to get red eyes in the morning so to make me look more awake I like to line my water line with a nude eye pencil, I think this really works well to make your eyes look more fresh first thing in the morning. I then applied a generous amount of this new mascara I have been trying out which I really like as it adds more volume to my lashes.
Moving on to the cheeks I applied my shimmer waves Body Shop bronzer as this adds a nice touch of colour to my face without looking too harsh. As you can see I have grown out my brows and made them a lot fuller which is a lot easier to maintain but as there are still a few sparse areas I like to fill my eye brows in using an ashy brown eye shadow with a slanted brush.
Finally finishing off with the lips. Recently I have been loving this lip combo (Revlon lipstick in shade 016 Heart Breaker and Maybelline lip liner in shade Wine) as its such a nice winter colour and I always find that a bold lip instantly makes you look more made up which is great for when you don't have much time to focus on the eyes. Although with this being such a simple look any lip colour would look good with it!

Enjoy and until next time...
