Look of the Day - Hot Pink

Helllo everyone, feels like forever since I last blogged, been so busy with work and weddings! Everytime I take pictures to do a blog I get caught up with other things! But this is a blog I have been wanting to do for a few weeks now as its all new make up products yay. A new brand that's out my comfort zone but am always up for trying new make up providing its good and let me tell you, this stuff is great! This is a make up brand called FX launched by three sisters that wanted to create affordable yet good quality natural Halal mineral make up. Definitely worth looking up :)
For this look I started off with my usual foundation routine, FX does do a face primer which my sister uses but I can not as am allergic to sun protection but the consistancy is really nice and thicker than the primer I use. After my base I primed my eyes with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer over which I then applied the colour Toasted from my Naked palette all over my eye lid and below my water line. Then I highlighted my brow bone with a creamy shadow and filled in my brows with a brown eye shadow from one of my Sleek palettes.
For my liner I used my FX black pencil liner to line both my tight-line and also my top lash line, I love the eye pencil as its so soft but also highly pigmented so very easy to apply and also quick. I then coated both my top and bottom lashes with a new mascara am trying out and loving, The falsies by Maybelline. The wand is rounded on one side and flat on the other which gives your lashes the length and volume. Eyes complete, I applied a pink blusher from my FX blusher palette on the apples of my cheek and used the highlighter above my cheek bones. The blushers are gorgeous and also very pigmented so you only need to apply a bit and they can also be used as eye shadows. Finally for my lips I used my FX hot pink lip liner. Although am more of a lipstick girl this lip liner is great as I can get a neat edge around my lips and it lasts way longer than a lipstick and of course its pink! I love this look as its very pinky and barbie like... which sums me right up lol! Only just started collecting FX make up and I will definitely be purchasing more, I think my next buy will be their eye shadow palette.. excited!!
Face Primer by FX - £14.00
Black Eye Pencil by FX - £6.50
Pink Lip Pencil by FX - £6.50
Maybelline Falsies Mscara - £7.99
Coral Charm Lipstick by FX - £12.00
Got this gorgeous coral lipstick too which I will feature in a look of the day. Hope you're all having a great day..

D.I.Y Ombre

Helloo all :) After pondering for ages about dyeing my hair I finally went ombre, yay! For those of you who don't know what that is where have you been hiding? Lol :P Its a graduation in tone of colour, this look has been around a couple of years now and still going strong and a look I am loving not only in hair but everything!
L'Oreal Perfect Blonde Creme Highlight Kit- £6.12
After looking at tons of pictures of ombre hair and watching numerous YouTube videos I decided to try it out and wanted to do it myself as this way I could achieve the exact look I wanted. I went to buy dye but the only highlight kit I found was blonde! I know what you're all thinking but hey I made it work. Although the ombre look works best with a contrasting colour on your origional hair colour. I wanted a light brown so for this I just left the dye in for less time than stated on the instructions. Before doing this its a must to read the instructions!!

After reading the instructions and mixing the dye I started to dye the ends of my hair. I put on a balck bin liner so it would not get onto my clothes and used foil to wrap around the parts that had dye on to keep the colour intact on my hair and not get everywhere. I left the dye on in my hair for a total of 20 minutes and this is how mine turned out, am pretty pleased with the results but if I was to do it again I would probably go a bit higher up so it shows more but happy for my first D.I.Y ombre :D Already excited to do it again but not straight away as this has really dried up the ends of my hair since the dye does contain a lot of bleach.
Enjoy :D

Look of the Day - Graduation

Hello, I am in a very goood mood as I graduated yesterday and it was a fab day! Plus the weather was super sunny, which made the day even more perfect. After three years of hard work it feels so good to be finally graduating. Will definitely miss University and my fellow graphic designers. Congratulations to you all =D

For my graduation I wore a dip hem dress, I am loving this style as I already have three dresses like this and I want more. I wanted to keep my outfit and make up subtle and sophisticated as I did not want to look over done. After all you only get this day once and I wanted to look my best!
For my make up I started off by priming my eyes with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer and from my Naked 2 palette I applied the colour Suspect all over my eye lid as its a gorgeous neutral colour and one of my faves! Then using my Naked palette I applied the colour Sin to the inner corner of my eyes to brighten them up and used the colour Hustle on the crease of my eyes but blending it out with my blending brush to lighten the colour. I then used the colour Toasted to line below my water line. I lined my top lash line with my Body Shop eye liner which is not as dark as my other eye liners and it stays moist which is great if you make a mistake. For my waterline I used the pencil side of my duo Company liner and coated both my top and bottom lashes with my million lash mascara. For my brows I highlighted my brow bone with a creamy shadow and filled my brows in with a brown eye shadow. Then I applied lots of bronzer on my cheeks and finished the look by using a Revlon lip butter for my lips in shade Raspberry Pie which is a lovely hot pink.

Happy Sunday everyone :)

Look of the Day - Pretty in Pink

Hello you! Hope your all doing well :) I graduate soon, super excited for that, so I had a pre grad celebration the other day :D
I wanted to match my make up to my outfit and as my dress was mint and pink, well a coral kind of pink I opted to go for pink because I love pink and I recently did a mint look. Yes still obsessing over mint though, lol!
For my look I primed my eye lid with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer and then from my Naked 2 palette applied the colour Chopper all over my eye lid. I then used a hot pink eye shadow from my Sleek palette to highlight the inner corner of my eye lids and also the crease to add a pop of colour. Using a blending brush I blended the pink out towards my brow bone so there's no harsh lines. I then used the colour Toasted from my Naked palette to line below my waterline. Using my Company liquid liner I lined my top lash line and winged out the flick. Also using my Company pencil liner I lined my waterline.

To add some glitz to my eyes I used my gold glitter eye liner to line above my liquid liner and also winging it out to match the black eye liner. Finally got hold of my favourite mascara (Million Lash Mascara in Extra Black by Loreal) so using this I did lots of coats on my top lashes creating volume and length. Completing my eyes by highlighting my brow bone with a creamy shadow and filling in my eye brows with a brown eye shadow. To finish my look I used my Body Shop bronzer on my cheeks and a nude lipstick.
Now completely off topic, the sales have started and I had to go check out the Next sale as people go crazy over it and as I was leaving the store I saw these gorgeous shoes and fell in love with them. I had seen a very similar pair in Zara but they did not have my size so when I saw these I had to have them plus they happened to match my outfit perfectly, don't you just love it when that happens.
Happy Graduation everyone that is Graduating this year, Well done! Cannot wait for mine, eek =D

Look of the Day - Shimmer Waves

Hello lovelies :) The weather is still being odd but I could not wait any longer to get started with all my summer looks so I decided to do a look that's not overly summery and can be worn when ever really :)
I am really loving this bronzer for the summer and have had this a few months now, the colours are great and they can be used as eye shadows as well as a cheek and face bronzer. For this look I have used only this bronzer, on my eyes and cheeks.
Shimmer Waves by Body Shop in shade 01Bronze - £16.00
For this look I started off by priming my eyes with none other than my Urban Decay eye shadow primer then highlighted my brow bone with the bottom creamy gold colour in the bronzer. I then applied the brown colour all over my lid, I know it looks dark but on its a very light chocolate colour which makes a lovely base. Using the top pink wave I highlighted the inner corner of my eye lids which gave the eyes a nice bright look, perfect for summer. Then using the second gold colour I applied it on my eye lid crease and lined my bottom lash line with the final remaining colour which I love as it's a gorgeous copper shade.
Eye shadow complete I lined my top lash line with my Company liquid liner creating a thin line with a small flick just ending near my eye. For my top and bottom lashes I used this new BADgal Lash mascara by Benefit which came free in the latest Glamour magazine which is actually really great as the brush goes from small to big which coats your lashes really nicely giving them volume.
To finish my summer look I used the bronzer on my cheeks by sweeping my blusher brush down all the waves which gives the cheeks a really nice pinky bronze glow, and used my sisters Revlon lip butter in shade pink truffle. This is a pretty, quick and easy summer look, ideal for holidays as you don't want to carry around too much make up and gives the face a lovely glowing holiday look.
Have a lovely day :D

Enjoy :)

Look of the Day - Minty Fresh

Hey all :) How is everyone? Weather is so odd, hot one day and cold another, really want the weather to stay hot so I can do all my summer looks that I have planned. As I think I would look a bit out of place with bright make up on a dull day, lol! Anyway, I am really loving the colour mint at the moment with clothes, nails, make up and even cars, been searching for a car and I keep finding myself drawn to mint cars...but mint is such a cute colour.
For this minty look I started off by priming my eye lid with my Urban Decay eye shadow primer, I have started using this on a daily basis now as I think that my eye shadow colour looks a lot better and also does not crease. Then I applied the colour Suspect from my Naked 2 palette all over my eye lid and using a creamy eye shadow highlighted my brow bone. Using my company liquid liner I lined my lash line winging it out. I then used a mint green colour from one of my Sleek palettes to line below my waterline also winging it out to match my eye liner and blending it into my eye shadow on my outer corner of my eye lid so there's no harsh lines. Completing the look by coating my lashes with my Falsifeye mascara. Finally I filled in my eye brows with a brown shadow. As my eye make up was rather bold I opted for a bronzer on my cheeks and a nude lipstick to compliment the look. I don't normally wear such bold colours like this but I am really liking it and its a great look for the summer as the bottom eye shadow colour can be changed for any bold colour. Will be doing this look more often for sure!

Hope you are all enjoying the weather :)

Look of the Day - Party Animals

Heyy, finally got time to do my animal print eye make up, I did my two favourite animal prints (Zebra and leopard) One on each eye as I wanted to show you just how easy they can be. I know they look hard but in fact are very simple and look great!!
For this glam look I used my Naked palette to create the leopard print. This was so fun to do and I have done this look a few times before. After I put my foundation on I used my Urban Decay eye shadow primer which is a must for a heavy eye look as it keeps the eye shadow from creasing. I then applied the colour Half Baked all over my eye lid and used the colour Smog on my eye lid crease taking it half way up to my brow. I then used a creamy eye shadow to highlight my brow bone and used the colour Dark Horse on the outer crease of my lid to give it a slight smoky look. Then I used my Company liquid liner on my top lash line winging it out and also below my bottom lash line and filled in my waterline with the Company pencil liner. Using the same liquid liner I did half moon shapes on my eye lid like a leopard pattern and then added eye shadow in the colour Smog into the half moons to make them stand out more and give the print more detail. To make the look more glamorous I added gold glitter from my glitter eye liner below my liquid line and on the inner corner and outer corner. To finish the look I applied a few coats of my sisters Falsifeye mascara. False lashes would also compliment the look and make it more dressy. Finally I filled in my eye brows using a brown eye shadow. I am really loving the outcome and think it would make a great party look.
To create the zebra print I also started by priming my eye lid with the Urban Decay eye shadow primer and once again using my Naked palette did the base for my print. I used the colour Gunmetal all over my eye lid but to lighten the colour I applied Virgin on the inner corner of my eye lid and half way over my lid, lastly applying the colour Toasted to the outer corner of my lid giving the look more colour. I then used my Company eye liner both top and bottom to line my eyes but kept the flick short and used the pencil liner to fill in my water line. With the same liquid liner I did zebra like stripes on my eye lid and coated my lashes with the same Falsifeye mascara which I am actually starting to like as it adds a lot of volume to the lashes. The look of course would not be complete without some glitter so using my pink glitter liner I lined my bottom lash line below my eye liner and also along the stripes on my eye lid which I think has added colour to the look, plus I love glitter. Lastly I highlighted my brow bone using a creamy eye shadow and filled in my eye brows with a brown eye shadow.
This is the first time I have tried doing zebra print on my eyes and although zebra print is my all time favourite print I think I prefer the leopard look as its more of a neutral look in terms of the colours and a look I have worn before but I still do love the zebra print look as its got pink in and something I would definitely do again, Hope you enjoy these two looks as I had sooo much fun creating them both, great for a night out :)

Look of the Day - Peach and Blueberry

Helllooo all :) Hope you are all doing well! How long has it been since my last look of the day, far too long. This look was especially for my degree show. An exhibition to showcase the final work of all the art and design students which resulted in a fantastic evening :)

I did this look by firstly applying my urban decay eye shadow primer as a base, this really helps the eye shadow to last longer and not crease.
I then used a peach eye shadow from my sleek palette all over my lid and half way on my lower lash line. Then using a royal blue shadow I filled in the rest of my lower lash line and also the crease of my eye lid extending it to create a winged out effect. I then used my Company liquid eye liner on my top lash line winging the flick out to the point of my eye shadow. Finally I applied my sisters new mascara (Falsifeye False lash effect by number 17) on both my top and bottom lashes, not my usual favourite mascara as it's run out :( To complete the look I highlighted my brow bone using a creamy shadow and filled in my brows using a brown eye shadow. To compliment the look I finished with nude lips and a pinky bronzer on my cheeks.
The look would not be complete without matching nails...right :p I love painting my nails and trying new funky designs so I painted my nails Indigo by Barry M and added a gun metal colour stripe creating a half tone look. I love how it turned out and it did not take long at all.
Enjoy :)

These are all my favourite jewels at the moment..I love my gold as you can see lol :) Am not going to go into detail about each piece as I don't actually remember where everything is from.
